The Career Of Junior Clint

In a city historically divided by football allegiances, a new sense of unity has emerged among Mancunians, not through red or blue, but through the vibrant creativity of Clints, a sneaker-turned-streetwear label that has captured the essence of Manchester's spirit. Founded by city native Junior Clint, Clints have become synonymous with Manchester’s creative cultural renaissance, breathing life into its streets since 2020.

Clint's journey from Rainy City native to self-taught designer is a testament to the ingenuity and passion driving Manchester's creative scene. Starting with little more than a sewing machine and a desire to express himself, Clint transitioned from a career in modelling to crafting original sneakers, fueled by his own determination and the knowledge gained from YouTube tutorials.

Making his debut in May 2020 with the iconic 'TRL Footprints' silhouette sneaker. Clint’s unique design and cultural awareness quickly made waves in the UK streetwear scene. The release of his 2.0 silhouette cemented the designer's status as a major independent player in the fashion industry.

Despite its local roots, Clints' appeal has extended far beyond Manchester's borders. Drawing inspiration from global sources while maintaining a distinct aesthetic, Clint has garnered praise from industry luminaries such as the late Virgil Abloh and beloved footwear star Salehe Bembury, who hailed Clint as his "favourite designer."

With multiple apparel collections, a successful footwear line, a groundbreaking collaboration with Patta, and a flagship store in Manchester's heart, Junior Clint is rapidly emerging as one of Britain's—and the world's—most exciting designers.
